Integrating Vbout

Vbout integration is simple and straightforward. Here are the tasks you need to handle to complete your integration:

  1. Obtain VBOUT API key that you will enter into Zappter later.
  2. Note down the list link address (it is the emailing list that will integrate and receive your app user data whenever they sign up.
  3. Enter API key and the Vbout link address in Zappter.
Note that any step or instruction within third-party source is subject to change without prior notice.
Obtaining your Vbout API key:
1. Log into your Vbout dashboard. Then click on your profile menu > Settings.

2. Select ' API Integrations' on your left menu, and your can see your API key under 'Your Unique API User Key' field (once you click on eye icon to reveal the key).

3. Copy the API key and move to the next section to obtain your list's link address.
Note down the Vbout list's link address:
1. While still on your Vbout dashboard, click on the 'Contacts' option on your sidebar. And, select 'Lists' option on the top. All your available lists display. Click on the one that should integrate with your app (click on the hyperlinked list name).

2. Once you're inside the list that you want to integrate with Zappter, you can write down or copy the URL on your browser. For example, it looks like this: https://app.vbout.com/Contacts/51063/?idis=list

Entering Vbout API key and List link address in Zappter:
1. Admin > Settings > Vbout. The 'General' tab opens by default. Enter the Vbout API key and List link address.

  • Vbout API key: The API key you obtained earlier in this section
  • Default List Link: The URL of your Vbout list that you want to integrates with your app. Earlier in the section, it is shown how to get the URL
2. Move on to the 'Settings' tab. In this tab, you can provide your users an option to opt-in for your newsletters.

  • Enable Opt-In: Enable the opt-in option for users when they sign up for your app. If you don't enable it, by default all users are synced with your Vbout list
  • Checkbox text: the display text of opt-in on user devices on the registration screen. Default is, "I would like to subscribe to the newsletter" when you keep it empty
3. Save the change to complete your integration with Vbout.
